How good are the hostel facilities at IISER Kolkata for students?

IISER Kolkata offers pretty decent hostel facilities. There are three main hostels:

Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar Hall (ICVS): This is an all-boys hostel, super close to the lecture halls and labs – you can get there in like 2 minutes. It's got high-speed internet, geysers in the washrooms, and washing machines on each floor. Plus, it's under CCTV surveillance. There aren't any strict curfew timings.
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose (NSCB): NSCB is similar to ICVS, built around the same time. It has separate wings for girls and boys. The main canteen is between NSCB and ICVS, run by students. You'll also find stationary shops, xerox places, salons, and refreshment shops nearby.
Nivedita Hall: This one's the newest and usually houses junior BS-MS students. It also has separate wings for boys and girls and offers the same facilities as the other hostels. It’s close to the cricket ground, gym, badminton court, and volleyball court, and even has its own canteen.

Ph.D. students get single rooms, while BS-MS students usually share a double room. Post-doctoral students don't get hostel facilities.
