How good is IIIT Guwahati for students?

So, you're wondering if IIIT Guwahati is a good choice? One of my friends studies there, and here's what I've gathered about the place.

Infrastructure:

The classes are now held in a new campus.
There's a fully functional, air-conditioned administrative block with Wi-Fi, which also serves as a lecture hall. However, the ECE labs' ACs aren't working properly.
Freshers get double sharing rooms with attached bathrooms. From the second year, boys and girls get single rooms.
The faculty reside in apartments on campus.
The library isn't great; it mainly has course-related books, and the overall collection is quite small.

Food:

There's no cafeteria in the new campus, but there's a spot for coffee and snacks in the administrative block.
The hostel mess isn't great and is slow. The catering service, South Coast Catering Service, hasn't improved.

Sports:

There's no gym or sports complex. There's a temporary field and volleyball court.
The boys’ hostel has TT tables and carrom boards, but the girls’ hostel doesn't have these facilities.

Campus Activities:

The cultural fest, Yuvaan, is getting better with more students and funds.
The E-cell organizes large-scale entrepreneurial meets with a budget of around ₹15 crores.
There are clubs for dance, movies, music, quizzes, literature, and coding.

Faculty:

The CSE, ECE, and mathematics departments have professors with Ph.D.s from IITs, IISc, ISI, and other top universities. The HSS department has Ph.D.s from DU, JNU, and IITs.
Science subjects are taught by IIT Guwahati professors.

Curriculum:

The curriculum is excellent and industry-focused, with an emphasis on research.
The course changes every year based on current needs, and students can suggest modifications.

Connectivity:

The campus is 4 km from Guwahati airport and 25 km from the city center. IIIT Guwahati provides weekly bus shuttles.

Overall, IIIT Guwahati could be a good option for CSE or ECE aspirants.
