Well, from what I've heard from a cousin studying at IIT Madras, the internet speed can be a mixed bag.

Sometimes, it's pretty good, like when he managed to download stuff at around 10 Mbps. But he also mentioned that this isn't always the case.
Other times, things can slow down, especially if there are technical issues with the Wi-Fi. He's seen speeds drop to as low as 20 Kbps to 50 Kbps, and it can take a few days to get things fixed.

However, they do have a data-sharing platform within the campus, which is LAN-based. The speed on that can vary depending on who's sharing and how fast their connection is.
