How good is Kurukshetra University for an MSc in Chemistry?

Well, a friend of mine did his M.Sc in Chemistry from Kurukshetra University and he wasn't too impressed. He actually suggested that if you're serious about your M.Sc, you might want to consider a central university or even an IIT. Apparently, only the Organic Chemistry department is decent there. The other chemistry departments aren't up to the mark, and the research scene isn't that great either. He felt that only the first year was really worth it, and the final year in Inorganic and Physical Chemistry was just going through the motions.
