Between MSc physics at BITS Goa and MSc physics at BITS Hyderabad, which one should one choose?

Both the options you have chosen here are equally good but IIT Madras is one of the 7 old IITs and is a well-reputed institute. If you are not looking to join a particular branch, my suggestion would be to go with IIT Madras. The placement statistics are great and overall, you will also get exposure to good faculty.

If you are looking to join Computer Science, you can think of going to BITS Hyderabad, but you should know that there is an increase in fees every year. This increase will be around 10-15%. The field of CSE will always ensure that you get a good placement package. But, for this, you need to ensure that you have good programming skills. It will get better over the years.

Naturally, BITS Goa and Hyderabad weren’t planned randomly. There are years of strategic planning behind the establishment of these campuses. I learned from one of the faculties of BITS Pilani that the late Mr. K. K Birla wanted to expand BITS campuses way back in 1990s and assigned the task to the administration to find a suitable location for the second campus. During the tech boom of the 90s, IT companies were setting up shops everywhere in cities like Bangalore, Mumbai. They strategically choose Goa as it is between these two locations and well-connected because of its airport. The location also helped them attract faculties from IIT Bombay and IISc Bangalore. Mr. Monahar Parrikar, then CM approved the project quickly, and that’s how it was possible to set up the Goa campus so quickly. The Hyderabad campus also has a similar story. Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu, the CM of united Andra Pradesh back then, requested BITS to set up a campus in Hyderabad. He provided land for the campus and construction work was quick to follow. When the first batch joined in 20008, the infrastructure was already done.

Hello Prateek, Congrats, you score such a good rank but your score is not good enough to get admission in Delhi government college. It's good if you look government college outside delhi or private or semi government college in delhi. Good luck

Hello, Not at all dear, 568 was the cutoff marks for General category last year which was equivalent to an AIQ rank of 4641 which was the last to get admission in Babasaheb Ambedkar Medical College New Delhi. Your rank is way away than that score. Even getting private MBBS colleges is much difficult for you at this rank if you are from GENERAL CATEGORY.
