Well, there's this story about my friend's brother that always comes to mind. He was super involved in everything – workshops, extracurriculars, you name it. Plus, he was the class rep and a topper with a 9.2 CGPA.

So, here’s how it went:

Back in September, the production department had only one placement out of 55 students. Then, companies like Titan, Hyundai, and Caterpillar started showing up.
After a bunch of presentations, tests, GDs, and interviews, the Caterpillar applicants gathered at the CEG campus. They had to tackle some tough technical and aptitude tests.
My friend’s brother made it to the GD round but didn’t quite crack it. But he didn't lose hope. The next day, he took the Titan online test, but the results were delayed, and the company wasn’t easy to reach.
Then, Caterpillar came back along with M&M and Vedanta. This was probably the last shot for many to get placed in a core company.
Caterpillar considered his scores from the previous rounds, and he made it to the GD. He prepped like crazy, even while traveling and eating, and finally nailed the personal interview.

By 6 pm, he had the job! It just shows what you can achieve with a bit of perseverance. Hope this gives you some motivation!
