When we talk about which IIT is better overall, IIT Madras usually comes out on top. It's one of the older IITs and has a really solid reputation for placements.

IIT Madras Research Park: It's the first of its kind in India, set up right on a university campus. IITM teams up with lots of different industries for research and development.
Startup Culture: If you've got a cool startup idea, IIT Madras is a great place to be. They'll give you the advice and resources you need to get it off the ground.
Placements: IIT Madras placements are pretty awesome. In 2022, the highest salary package offered was around INR 1.98 CPA, and the average was INR 21.48 LPA.
Campus Life: Campus life at IIT Madras is something else. The fests and clubs are a lot of fun.
