Life at VIT Pune is pretty similar to what you'd find at other colleges in Pune, but with a few unique perks. Since VIT Pune is autonomous, it has the flexibility to set its own curriculum, grading system, and academic calendar.

There are lots of opportunities to get involved in different clubs and teams like Speakers club, Robocon, SAE, collegiate club, and IEEE. The faculty and seniors are generally approachable and helpful. You'll find that the college library has a solid collection of books, so you usually don’t need to buy them from outside. Plus, there's a reference and journal section you can use.

Typically, you get around 3 months of holidays each academic year, not counting the occasional 1-2 day breaks. Throughout the year, there are various events like Vishwakarandak (an inter-departmental competition) and Melange (an inter-college event). There are also some popular hangout spots on campus like Boat Club, Minus 2, and New Poona Bakery. However, there aren't many hangout spots just outside the campus.

As for placements, VIT has a decent record. In recent years, the average CTC has been around 4-5 LPA, and many well-known companies come for campus recruitment.
