Well, it's a bit tricky to say for sure! A rank of 2,040 is pretty decent, but last year the closing rank was around 2,092. Cutoffs can change every year, so there's definitely a chance you might get in. You could even snag a spot in the first round if you're lucky!

If IIT Bhubaneswar doesn't work out, don't sweat it! There are other great IITs like IIT Ropar and IIT Jodhpur where you could also try. Also, if your JEE Main score is below 3000, consider IIIT Hyderabad. Their CSE program is top-notch, often compared to IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi. Landing a spot there could open doors to awesome job opportunities, just like being at a top IIT. While the IIT tag has its perks, remember that your skills matter the most in the long run. Choose wisely!
