What's it like when college starts at IIT Ropar, and is there any ragging?

So, from what my friends at IIT Ropar tell me, the first few days usually involve an Induction Programme under ISMP (Institute Student Mentorship Program). You get a mentor to help you out with anything you need.

These mentors guide you, show you around campus, and introduce you to seniors.
There's also an orientation program for all departments where you can check out clubs like dance, dramatics, music, and sports.
Plus, there are coding, robotics, and aeromodelling sessions.
To make things fun, they have night jamming sessions and other activities to help everyone mingle.
The seniors are generally cool and helpful.
You can show off your talents at a cultural night.
The environment is pretty good overall.

And don't worry about ragging. IIT Ropar has a strict Anti-Ragging community with the motto "Ragging is a crime and the reward is jail." If anything happens, you can talk to your mentor or any teacher. Ragging isn't tolerated there.
