So, at IIM Bangalore, they actually use D and U grades instead of F. Most courses are worth three credits, but some are 2, 1.5, or even 1 credit.

A D grade gets you -1 point per credit, and a U grade gets you -2 points per credit.
To pass the first year, you can't have more than 12 negative points, which means a max of 4 Ds or 2 Us.
To graduate, you need to keep it under 18 negative points, so no more than 3 Us or a combo of 4 Ds and 1 U.

Honestly, it's pretty tough to get a D or U unless you're aiming for an A in every subject!
