If you go for CSE at a newer IIT, you'll definitely have chances to learn a lot and probably land a good job too. For example, IIT Jodhpur's CSE grads get an average package of around 16.73 LPA, and IIT Bhubaneswar offers about 11.44 LPA on average. Plus, both schools had 100% placement for their CSE students back in 2019.

But, if you're super into research and really love math, then Applied Mathematics at IIT Roorkee might be more your thing. They have a 5-year integrated M.Sc. program and a 2-year M.Sc. program in Mathematics. There are only 30 spots, and the average package is around 14.73 LPA. Companies like Adobe hire from there, offering around 38 LPA. Other companies like Accenture and Goldman Sachs also recruit from there. Plus, being at a top IIT like Roorkee means you'll have lots of cool stuff to do outside of class too!
