Which is better: Chemical Engineering at NIT Srinagar or Mechanical Engineering at Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology (Bihar)?

Well, from what I've heard from friends who studied Chemical Engineering at NIT Srinagar, it's a pretty solid choice.

Lots of PSUs come to recruit from the chemical department, and they offer some really good packages. The people who got placed are doing quite well now with stable jobs.
Some folks also went for higher studies. I remember one batchmate aced the GATE exam.
A few even went on to do an MBA at the National University of Singapore, which is a top-notch institute.
