Which is better for a student: ECE at IIT Guwahati or CSE at IIT Bhubaneswar?

Well, if you're not super set on CSE, then ECE at IIT Guwahati might be the better choice. IIT Guwahati has been around longer, so it has a bigger alumni network and is generally more well-known among companies.

Plus, the placement stats for ECE at IIT Guwahati are pretty good. For example, in 2018-19, about 84% of ECE students got placed with an average package of around 11 LPA. While CSE at IIT Bhubaneswar is also a solid option (with a 100% placement rate in 2019), IIT Guwahati offers a really nice campus environment.

The hostel and internet facilities at IITG are top-notch, and the ECE department has some really experienced faculty members. IIT Bhubaneswar, on the other hand, has faced some faculty shortages in the past.

Ultimately, both are good options, so it really depends on whether you prefer a specific branch or a more established institution.
