IIIT Guwahati:

The atmosphere is pretty chill.
It's about 25 km from the main city but only 4 km from the airport.
You'll meet people from all over, especially UP, Hyderabad, and Bihar.
The coding culture is awesome, way better than newer IIITs.
The director is really ambitious and wants to make it one of the best in India.
Even though it's far from the city, you'll have everything you need.
The hostel rooms are decent; if you're lucky, you might get one with an attached washroom.
The curriculum is top-notch.
There are fields for cricket and football.
