Well, IIT Guwahati is generally considered a bit better than IIT BHU. It's one of the older IITs, known for its strong academics and good placement rates.

The campus is super green and beautiful – definitely one of the nicest IIT campuses around.
The infrastructure is solid, and the labs are well-equipped for research and studies.
IIT Guwahati also has DC++ (if you're into that sort of thing!).
Hostel life at IIT Guwahati is usually seen as better than at IIT BHU.
When it comes to placements, both offer pretty similar opportunities. In 2021, IIT Guwahati had an average CTC of around INR 21.41 LPA.

Plus, Guwahati is a big city with lots to do!
