Both Kurukshetra University (KUK) and Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) are well-reputed state universities recognized by UGC. They're among the few autonomous universities in Haryana, known for their high standards.

KUK has an A+ Grade from NAAC and was ranked 8th among state universities in India. MDU boasts great infrastructure and excels in sports. It also has a lower fee structure and a safe environment for girls. However, MDU lags a bit in placements and faculty compared to KUK.

If you're looking for better overall exposure along with academics, Kurukshetra University might be a slightly better choice.
