The Fulbright-Nehru Master's Fellowships 2026-27, facilitated by the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF), presents a golden opportunity for exceptional Indian students. This fellowship enables selected candidates to pursue a master's degree at esteemed U.S. colleges and universities across specific fields. Successful applicants will receive comprehensive funding covering tuition and various associated expenses.
Eligibility
To qualify for the Fulbright-Nehru Master's Fellowships, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a bachelor's degree (or its equivalent) from an accredited Indian university, with a minimum score of 55%.
- Possess a four-year bachelor's degree or a master's degree.
- Alternatively, hold a full-time postgraduate diploma from a recognized Indian institution if the bachelor's degree is less than four years.
- Have a minimum of three years of full-time, paid professional experience in a field relevant to the proposed study area.
- Demonstrate leadership skills and a commitment to community service.
- Not already possess a degree from a U.S. university or be currently enrolled in a U.S. degree program.

Step 6: Enter the PIN received via email to activate your account and create a password.

Step 9: Fill in the grant and additional information sections, and then submit the form.

- Fellows will be affiliated with one U.S. host institution during the grant period.
- Applicants may only apply under one fellowship category per competition cycle.
- Plagiarism will result in disqualification.
- All Fulbright-Nehru applications must be submitted online.
- Late applications will not be considered.
- Extensions and visa sponsorship transfers are not permitted.
- Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview with the USIEF National Selection Committee.
