About
The NABARD Student Internship Scheme (SIS) 2025-26, sponsored by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), offers students a chance to delve into current issues and assess NABARD's impact at the grassroots level. Interns will also document success stories from NABARD's diverse projects and initiatives. Selected interns will receive a monthly stipend of ₹18,000 along with other benefits.
*NABARD was founded in 1982 with the mission of fostering sustainable and equitable agriculture and rural development through participatory financial and non-financial interventions, innovations, technology, and institutional development aimed at securing prosperity.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be enrolled in a 5-year integrated course at a recognized institution, having completed or be completing their 4th year in 2025, OR

Have finished their 1st year of postgraduate studies in 2025 in one of the following fields:
- Agriculture and related fields (Veterinary Science, Fisheries, etc.)
- Agribusiness
- Economics
- Agricultural Economics
- Social Sciences
- Management
Important Notes:
- Students applying for an internship in a specific state must either be studying in that state or be a resident of that state.
- Internship positions at the Mumbai Head Office are open to students from all over India.
- Indian students studying abroad are also encouraged to apply.
Benefits
Selected interns (a total of 39) will receive the following benefits:
- Monthly stipend: ₹18,000
- Daily field visit allowance: ₹2,000 (for NER states) / ₹1,500 (for non-NER states)
- Maximum travel allowance: ₹6,000 per intern
- Miscellaneous expenses allowance: ₹2,000 per intern

Documents Required
The following documents are required for the NABARD Student Internship Scheme:
- Bonafide certificate from the institution.
- Recent colored passport-size photograph (JPEG/PNG format, maximum size 50 KB).
Documents Required for Interview:
- SSC/10th standard marksheet (for age verification).
- HSC/12th standard marksheet.
- Graduation marksheet.
- 1st-year marksheet (if applicable, for 5-year integrated courses).

Step 7: Submit the completed application and save or print a copy for your records.
Selection Criteria
Selection will be based on academic merit and performance in a personal interview. Applications will be initially shortlisted based on academic records, and final selection will depend on the interview.
