Established in 1954, MIT Muzaffarpur is affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU Patna). The institute was inaugurated by Sri C.P.N. Sinha, the then governor of east Punjab. Initially, it was started with civil engineering discipline with the name ‘ College of Civil Engineering, Muzaffarpur’. MIT Muzaffarpur has eight departments: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Leather Technology, B.Pharmacy and Applied Sciences and Humanities. The total faculty strength at MIT Muzaffarpur is 36 and the student enrollment number is 1145. The campus area of Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology is spread over 55 acres of land. The campus is awesome, with lots of greenery and a really natural vibe. It's a great place to chill and study. The labs are top-notch, probably the best in Bihar. Plus, free Wi-Fi everywhere, even in the hostels, which is a huge plus!

"MIT Muzaffarpur: Good Academics and Decent Placements"

Overall Rating: 7/10

The campus is decent with all the basic facilities. We have a big ground for sports like cricket and football, and there's also a badminton court. The classrooms are equipped with projectors and smart boards, and the whole campus is kept clean and hygienic. Library is okay, could be better.
