    The Central Board of Secondary Education opened the LOC submission window for the CBSE Class 10 Second Board Exam 2026 on April 16, 2026 . Schools must finish List of Candidates (LOC) registrations by April 22, 2026 ; no corrections or extensions will be allowed after that date.

    Who can apply and what you can do via LOC

    Students who passed the CBSE main Class 10 exams may apply for improvement in up to three subjects . Students placed in compartment (about 1,47,172 students) remain under the same status and can apply as per compartment rules.

    Students in the Essential Repeat category are not eligible. CWNS (Children With Special Needs) facilities will continue only for students already registered for those facilities. Students under the Sports category can apply only with prior approval.

    Payments are accepted online only. Accepted modes include debit/credit cards, NEFT, RTGS, UPI and net banking. Offline payment modes are not permitted.

    If a student pays the fee but does not appear for the second exam, the main exam result will be treated as final.

    Submission phases and penalties

    The LOC process is phased. The first phase allows schools to submit candidate lists and pay fees up to April 20, 2026 . A final window with a INR 2,000 late fee runs April 21–22 . After April 22 , no corrections, additions or further extensions will be accepted.
