CBSE has declared the Class 12 Result 2026 and revised the CBSE Result Revaluation process following the introduction of on-screen marking (OSM).

The board has removed the old marks verification step because the OSM system auto-detects and totals marks. Revaluation remains available, but the earlier three-step route is now a two-step process.

CBSE Result Revaluation: What changed in 2026

Under the revised process, the verification of marks stage has been dropped. The system tallies scores under OSM, reducing the risk of totalling errors. Students who are dissatisfied with their marks can still challenge specific answers through revaluation.

Now the sequence is clear: first request an answer-sheet photocopy online, then apply for revaluation on chosen questions. CBSE will open the application window on its online portal when the board notifies the schedule.

CBSE Result Revaluation: How students must apply

When the portal opens, students must request a photocopy of their answer sheets; there is no limit on the number of subjects for photocopy requests. A fee is charged per subject for the photocopy (fee amount not specified).

After receiving the photocopy, students can request revaluation on specific questions. Revaluation is charged on a per-question basis and there is no limit on the number of questions a student may challenge. Requests must be made through the CBSE online portal during the application window.

The board has said it will release the detailed revaluation schedule To be announced . For Class 10, the existing revaluation process remains unchanged and will begin only after the second board results are declared this year.

    Practical points for students:

    • Photocopy is mandatory before any revaluation request. Fees apply per subject for photocopy and per question for revaluation; CBSE has not published amounts in this notice.
    • The OSM system automatically totals marks, so the removed verification step is specifically tied to reducing totalling errors under on-screen marking.
    • Keep an eye on official CBSE communications for the exact application window, fee details, and submission steps.

CBSE says the schedule for Class 12 revaluation will be issued soon. Students should prepare their photocopy and revaluation requests promptly once the portal opens to avoid missing deadlines.
