Delhi University BTech Courses: CUET for CIC, JEE Main for FoT in 2026
Delhi University BTech Courses will admit students to the Cluster Innovation Centre (CIC) via CUET-UG and to the Faculty of Technology (FoT) via JEE Main CRL this year. The CUET-UG exam window runs May 11 to May 31, 2026 , and CUET results are expected in June 2026 .
Delhi University BTech Courses — Seats, intake and admissions route
DU offers a combined BTech intake of about 410 seats . CIC, North Campus, has 50 seats (including reserved and supernumerary quotas) while FoT offers 360 seats — 120 each in CSE, ECE and Electrical Engineering. There is no home state or domicile quota ; admissions follow national-level merit and government reservation rules.
CIC admission is through CUET-UG and the DU CSAS portal at ugadmission.uod.ac.in. FoT admits on the basis of JEE Main CRL and requires separate registration at engineering.uod.ac.in. DU replaced DUET with CUET for CIC starting the 2022–23 academic year.
Delhi University BTech Courses — Eligibility, cutoffs and certificate rules
CIC applicants must appear in CUET-UG with the correct subject combination: a language paper, Mathematics (mandatory) and the General Test. Merit uses Language + Mathematics + General Test scores. For board eligibility, General category candidates need 60% aggregate in any four subjects (including Maths); PwD/CW 57% , SC/ST need pass marks with Maths among the four subjects.
CUET cutoffs for CIC remain high. The General category 2025 closing score stood at 550.74/800 (opening 551). Candidates should aim for roughly 95–99 percentile in CUET for a realistic chance.
Certificates for EWS and OBC-NCL must be valid and dated after 31 March 2026 to be accepted for the 2026–27 admission cycle.
Delhi University BTech Courses — Fees, curriculum and placements
CIC tuition is INR 40,000 per year , totaling INR 1.6 lakh for four years. Other one-time fees are about INR 1,000 , making Year 1 cost roughly INR 41,000 . Hostel charges are separate, typically INR 5,000–8,000 per month . EWS financial support may be available up to INR 10,000 per year .
CIC follows a project-based curriculum with compulsory internships; Semester 8 is a major industry internship or faculty-supervised project of about 20 weeks . Indicative average CTC reported for CIC batches is in the INR 6–8 LPA range, but small batch sizes limit absolute placement numbers.
Applicants should register on the CUET portal, check scores in June, and then complete CSAS registration (expected third week of June 2026 ) at ugadmission.uod.ac.in. FoT candidates must follow engineering.uod.ac.in for JEE Main-based admissions.
