IIT Jodhpur has extended the M.Tech application deadline from April 15 to April 21, 2026 . You now have six additional days to apply online through erponline.iitj.ac.in for the 2026-27 session.

What this extension covers
The extension applies to 25+ M.Tech programmes across 13 departments , including Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Materials Engineering. Emerging specialisations listed include Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Quantum Technologies and Environmental & Sustainability Engineering .
All admission categories are covered: Full-time Regular with and without Assistantship/Fellowship, Self-sponsored, Full-time Sponsored, Part-time, Part-time (online) and Part-time (project sponsored). Requests to change admission category after submission will not be entertained.

The application is entirely online on erponline.iitj.ac.in . The form asks for personal details, educational qualifications, GATE score (if applicable) and work experience. Make sure you fill the correct admission category and verify all entries before submission.
Full-time Regular candidates seeking assistantship/fellowship must have a valid GATE score or be eligible for exemption as per Ministry of Education guidelines. Admission for Full-time Regular with Fellowship will follow COAP 2026 timelines.
Part-time and sponsored applicants need a minimum of two years of work experience after the qualifying degree. They must also qualify the institute’s written test or interview as applicable.
Eligibility highlights
You need a four-year bachelor’s degree in engineering or science, or a master’s degree in science/MCA/Pharmacy or related fields. Minimum marks required are 60% for General/OBC and 55% for SC/ST/PwD , or a minimum CGPA of 6.0/10 .
Shortlist of candidates will be published on April 25, 2026 . Programs are scheduled to begin in July 2026 .
