    KCET Exam 2026: Pattern, marks and OMR rules

    Physics and Chemistry are compulsory for every candidate. You must choose either Mathematics or Biology as the third paper. Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadigas must also sit for the Kannada Language Test.

    KCET Exam 2026: Question types and subject weightage

    Question types include direct formula-based problems and conceptual or multi-step application questions. Mathematics weightage shows Calculus: 15–18 , Algebra: 12–14 questions. Biology high-yield topics include Genetics 10–12 and Human Physiology 10–12 questions. Chemistry typically splits as Organic 30–35% , Physical 30% , and Inorganic 25–30% .
