UCEED Counselling Round 2: IIT Bombay opens Round 2 for UCEED 2026 B.Des seats
IIT Bombay has begun UCEED Counselling Round 2 in May 2026 for candidates seeking B.Des admissions through UCEED 2026. The Joint Counselling Process conducted by IIT Bombay will allocate seats based on UCEED All India Rank, category and choices filled in the common B.Des Application form.
UCEED Counselling Round 2: who is eligible and how seats are allotted
Only candidates who cleared UCEED 2026 and submitted the common B.Des Application form for IITs are eligible for this round. Provisional seat allotments are made on the basis of All India Rank (AIR), category and the order of institute choices you submitted.
Selected candidates have received provisional allotment letters at their registered email addresses. Check your email and the counselling portal for the allotment letter and any instructions sent by IIT Bombay.
UCEED Counselling Round 2: fees, payment deadlines and withdrawal
If you have been provisionally allotted a seat, you must pay the seat acceptance fee by May 27, 2026 . The fee is ₹60,000 for GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates and ₹15,000 for SC/ST/PwD candidates. Paying this fee signals acceptance of the provisionally allotted seat under the Joint Counselling Process.
If you decide not to take the seat, you may withdraw it up to June 09, 2026 . Follow the steps provided in your provisional allotment letter and the counselling portal to complete payment or submit a withdrawal.

- Read the allotment letter carefully for any institute-specific instructions and payment links.
- Pay the seat acceptance fee by May 27, 2026 if you wish to accept, or submit a withdrawal by June 09, 2026 if you do not.
