    A 20-year-old student of the Indian Institute of Information Technology Nagpur, Shreyash Chandrakant Mane, fell from the hostel terrace on campus in the Butibori area and died. The incident occurred at around 4:30 AM on May 4, 2026 , police said.

    Mane was a second-year BTech student in Computer Science Engineering. Assistant Inspector Nilesh Chaure of the Butibori police station said a case of accidental death has been registered and no suicide note was found at the spot.
