    JEECUP 2026 has been moved from May 15–22, 2026 to June 2–9, 2026 , the Joint Entrance Examination Council (Polytechnic), Uttar Pradesh said on May 12, 2026 . The council cited candidate requests and student welfare as reasons for the change.

    JEECUP 2026: Revised timeline and immediate impact

    The online application deadline has been extended to May 11, 2026 , while the correction window runs from May 8–12, 2026 . The application process originally began on January 15, 2026 , and the extended deadline gives candidates a short extra window to register.

    The postponement provides candidates roughly two additional weeks for preparation. Counselling for successful candidates is scheduled to begin in June/July 2026 , as per the council's schedule.

    JEECUP 2026: Eligibility and where to apply

    Candidates who have passed Class 10 or an equivalent exam are eligible to apply. You must register and submit your application at jeecup.admissions.nic.in and upload required documents during the process.

    Application fees are to be paid online via the payment gateway and corrections should be made within the May 8–12 window. After the extended deadline, no new applications will be accepted.

    Exam format and marking

    JEECUP 2026 will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode across multiple examination centres in Uttar Pradesh. The test features multiple-choice questions and typically lasts 2–3 hours , depending on the stream.

    There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. Candidates should confirm stream-wise duration and subject details when the admit cards and detailed instructions are released.

    What candidates need to do now

    Monitor the official portal for the admit card release date and exam-day instructions. Download your admit card as soon as it is available and check all particulars, including exam venue and reporting time.

    Plan your travel to the allotted exam centre in advance and keep valid ID proofs ready. After the exam, results will be declared and online counselling will follow according to ranks and seat availability.

    The council’s decision aims to ease pressure on students and ensure a fair opportunity for preparation. Candidates should rely on updates posted on the official JEECUP portal for any further changes or clarifications.
