    AP ICET 2026 started on May 2, 2026 , conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. The exam is being held in computer-based test (CBT) mode across 25 districts of Andhra Pradesh in two shifts — 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM .

    AP ICET 2026 exam pattern and marking

    The test comprises 200 multiple-choice questions worth a total of 200 marks . Candidates get 150 minutes to complete the paper.

    The question paper is split into three sections: Mathematical Ability ( 55 questions ), Analytical Ability ( 75 questions ) and Communication Ability ( 70 questions ). Each correct answer carries +1 mark and there is no negative marking for wrong or unattempted responses.

    AP ICET 2026: what you must carry and verification steps

    You must carry a valid photo ID, your AP ICET 2026 hall ticket and a recent passport-size photograph for verification at the centre. The organising authority has emphasised physical verification on entry; without these documents candidates may be denied entry.

    To download the hall ticket, visit cets.apsche.ap.gov.in, click the 'Hall Ticket' link, enter your registration number, qualifying examination hall ticket number and date of birth, then download and print the admit card.

    Exam day rules and prohibited items

    Candidates are not allowed to bring calculators, mathematical or log tables, loose papers, mobile phones, watches of any kind, large spectacles, caps or metal jewellery inside the examination hall. These items are listed as strictly prohibited by the exam authority and will be confiscated if found.

    The CBT centres opened for candidates in the two scheduled shifts. Test administrators at centres are following standard entry and seating procedures; candidates are advised to reach the centre well before the reporting time mentioned on the hall ticket.

    Authority and immediate student impact

    Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, is the conducting authority for AP ICET 2026. The clear marking scheme — +1 for correct answers and no negative marking — lets candidates attempt questions without penalty for guesses, but time management remains crucial with 150 minutes for 200 questions .
