For students in its BS degree programme, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras is hosting the second iteration of a cultural-technical festival. From May 25 to May 28, "Paradox 2023" will be taking place on the IIT Madras campus. This year, more than 3,000 kids from all over the nation are taking part in the festival.
A variety of literary, athletic, technological, and cultural events are being held over the four-day celebration in 20 different locations on the campus. "One of the goals of the IIT Madras BS degree has been to enable students to experience the IIT Madras campus and further help them foster and nurture their friendships with their peers," stated Prof. Andrew Thangaraj, Professor In-Charge, BS in Data Science and Applications, IIT Madras. Numerous clubs and organisations for extracurricular activities, including the programming club, film and photography club, music society, literary society, mathematics society, etc., have been founded to further build the sense of community among students.
The BS in Data Science and Applications programme, which will be offered in 2020, offers a special chance for college students, recent graduates, and working professionals to attend IIT Madras without having to take the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
IIT Madras wants to break down any barriers of age, discipline, or geography and give access to a top-notch curriculum in programming and data science to all aspirants across the nation. Anyone who has finished Class 12 and is interested in the programme is welcome to enrol themselves. More than 16,500 students are now enrolled there.
