Applications open for FAT DNB Post Diploma 2026

Assessment scheme for FAT DNB Post Diploma 2026

The formative assessment has three mandatory parts. Part I is the theory examination scheduled across the country on June 10, 2026 . Appearing in this theory FAT is compulsory for NBEMS trainees to remain eligible for their final exit examinations.

Part II is a workplace-based clinical assessment. NBEMS will allot exam centres where trainees must present for the clinical component after the theory exam. Part III is a performance counselling session — a workshop conducted after the theory results are declared.

    What this means for you

If you are a DNB Post Diploma trainee, completing all three parts of the FAT is required to qualify for the final exit exam. Missing any part may affect your eligibility. Keep proof of registration and payment until the assessment process is complete.
