CBSE Secondary Curriculum 2026: What’s in Part 1 (Class IX-X)
The Part 1 document covers the Secondary Curriculum for Classes IX and X . For Class IX the scheme lists Languages, Main Subjects and Optional Subjects. For Class X the scheme lists Group-L (Languages) , Group-A1 (Main Subjects) , Group-A2 (Other Academic Electives) and Subjects of Internal Assessment.

CBSE Secondary Curriculum 2026: Part 2 (Classes XI-XII) and validity
Part 2 covers the Senior Secondary scheme for Classes XI and XII . The Part 2 document groups subjects under Languages (Group-L), Academic Electives (Group-A) and Subjects of Internal Assessment. Both Part 1 and Part 2 are for the 2026-27 academic session and their validity runs through 2031 .

What the published documents do not include
The released Part 1 and Part 2 files do not contain chapter-wise syllabi, subject-wise topic lists, assessment or marking schemes, specimen papers, textbook lists, teacher training guidance, or transitional provisions from the previous curriculum. Schools must follow the published scheme of studies as the board has stated, but detailed implementation notes are not in the release.
