Dr BR Ambedkar University, Delhi will offer more than 3,000 seats across 78 programmes in the 2026-27 academic session, expanding its portfolio with five new courses and seven one-year PG programmes , officials said at a press briefing on the Kashmere Gate campus.

AUD one-year PG programmes: what’s new

The university has introduced one-year postgraduate options in psychology, English, economics, history, Hindi, sociology and political science. Officials said these are NEP 2020-aligned programmes and that graduates of four-year BA degrees from any university are eligible to apply for the one-year PG programmes.

New full-term courses announced include an MA in Creative Writing and an MA in Performing Arts (Theatre Arts). Undergraduate additions are BA Museology, Culture and Heritage Management and BA Visual Arts. BSc Mathematics has been restructured to include a minor in data science and a minor in artificial intelligence.

AUD one-year PG programmes: admissions and eligibility

Postgraduate admissions will begin shortly and will be based on CUET-PG scores, the university confirmed. Undergraduate admissions will open after CUET-UG results are declared. Where applicable, admissions may also be conducted through NCET .

For the one-year PGs, the university specified eligibility as graduates of four-year BA programmes. The exact application dates, portal launch and deadlines will be published in a detailed admission schedule on the university website.

    Seats, fees and financial aid

AUD plans to offer over 3,000 seats across its programmes in the new session. The university reiterated financial support measures: a 100% fee waiver for students in the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) categories. Graded fee waivers will be available for economically disadvantaged students, with detailed criteria to be announced.

Officials said the move to one-year PGs and the new course structure aims to align AUD with NEP 2020 pathways while expanding vocational and interdisciplinary options like museology and data science minors.
