The Charpak Bachelor's Scholarship 2025, sponsored by the French Government, supports Indian students pursuing full-time undergraduate studies in France. Successful applicants will receive a monthly stipend of 860 euros (approximately ₹76,000) along with additional benefits to aid their academic journey.
Eligibility
To qualify for the Charpak Bachelor's Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an Indian citizen or hold an OCI card.
- Be no older than 23 years at the time of application.
- Have completed their secondary education in India.
- Have applied to a bachelor's degree program at a French institution.
- Not have previously studied at a higher education institution in France.
Benefits
Recipients of the Charpak Bachelor's Scholarship will receive:
- A monthly allowance of 860 euros (approximately ₹76,000) to cover living expenses.
- Exemption from student visa fees.
- Waiver or reimbursement of Etudes en France fees.
- Social security coverage.
- Assistance with accommodation, including priority access to CROUS residences (subject to availability).
Documents Required
Applicants must submit the following documents:
- A recent passport-sized photograph.
- A copy of their passport.
- A Curriculum Vitae (CV) with a maximum length of two pages.
- A copy of the admission or acceptance letter from the French higher education institution.
- Scanned copies of mark sheets and passing certificates from both Higher Secondary School (Class 12) and Secondary School (Class 10).
- A French language certificate, if available (DELF/DALF).
- An optional letter of recommendation.
Note:
- Applicants awaiting their Class 12 final exam results should submit their most recent mid-term exam results.
- If the acceptance letter from the French institution is pending, applicants can provide email correspondence as proof of their application status.
- All documents must be submitted in PDF or JPEG format. Other formats will not be accepted.

Selection Criteria
Candidates will be selected based on their academic performance and the quality and coherence of their statement of purpose. There are no specific CGPA or percentage cut-offs for this scholarship.

- Applicants applying to multiple universities should provide details of their preferred university in the scholarship application.
- Only one online application is allowed per applicant. Multiple submissions will result in disqualification.
- Applications missing required documents or containing incorrect information will be rejected.
- The French Embassy reserves the right to not respond to incomplete applications or those not considered for the scholarship.
