Selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend and various other benefits to support their professional development.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a citizen of India.
  • Must hold a Master’s degree by June 2026 with a strong academic record in relevant fields such as English, American Literature, or Linguistics.
  • Must demonstrate maturity, dependability, and professionalism.
  • Must be fluent in English, evidenced by a TOEFL score of 79-80 or higher.
  • Must be an early-career English teacher at the college level or a professional in a related field.

Note: The FLTA Program is designed for professional development and is non-renewable. It is not intended for candidates seeking degree studies in the U.S.

Benefits

Selected Fulbright FLTA fellows will receive:

  • A monthly stipend to cover living expenses.

  • A detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  • Three letters of recommendation from academic or professional references.
  • A completed online application form.
  • Three essays addressing objectives, teaching methodologies, and cultural sharing.
  • Scanned copies of academic transcripts and degree certificates.
  • Scanned copies of proof of work experience, if applicable.
  • Scanned copies of TOEFL score report, if available.
