The West Bengal State Council of Higher Education launched the West Bengal Centralised Admission Portal to provide a single-window gateway for UG admissions. The portal lists 7,042 courses across 459 government and government-aided colleges and 17 universities .

How WBCAP 2026 registration works and what you must do
You must create a WBCAP profile before selecting courses. Profile creation requires personal data and uploading prescribed documents and identification proofs. Ensure documents meet the portal's format and size rules; incomplete applications may not be processed.
A preference list of institutions and courses is mandatory. The portal uses this list for merit-based seat allocation. Colleges will receive the WBCAP merit list and may run individual counselling using that list.
Eligibility for UG admission requires passing 10+2 (Higher Secondary or equivalent). Prepare your educational certificates and valid ID before starting the form to avoid last-minute delays.
