MBBS seat renewal NMC 2026: Colleges must submit Annual Disclosure Report and pay Rs 3.54 lakh by May 30
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has directed all approved medical colleges to submit the Annual Disclosure Report for the 2026–27 session as a mandatory step for MBBS seat renewal NMC 2026. The submission and fee payment must be completed by May 30, 2026 .
In a notice issued by the Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB), NMC said every college holding a valid Letter of Permission (LoP) must upload required details on the official portal under MSMER 2023. Colleges without a registered AEBAS system will not be able to access the portal.
What colleges must do for MBBS seat renewal NMC 2026
Institutions must log in using credentials already shared with nodal officers and upload accurate information on faculty strength, infrastructure, hospital facilities, student intake and academic resources. A detailed user manual has been uploaded on the portal to assist colleges through the process.
All entries must be consistent across NMC boards. Once an application is submitted it cannot be modified, and NMC said submitted data may be made public if required.
Deadline and fee details for MBBS seat renewal NMC 2026
The application fee for MBBS seat renewal is Rs 3.54 lakh , inclusive of 18% GST . Payment must be made through the portal’s online payment gateway; no other payment methods will be accepted. NMC has explicitly stated that no extension will be granted beyond May 30, 2026 .
Colleges must ensure their AEBAS registration is complete before attempting to access the portal. Login credentials were dispatched to nodal officers; institutions without those credentials or without AEBAS registration cannot proceed with submission or payment.
Technical and compliance notes
The notice emphasises accuracy and consistency of the uploaded report across NMC boards. Since applications cannot be edited after submission, institutions should verify all details against their records before finalising the form and completing payment.
Students and stakeholders should watch for any public disclosure of submitted data, as NMC may make the information available if required. The Annual Disclosure Report remains the primary document NMC uses to assess whether colleges meet standards before approving continuation of MBBS seats for the academic year.
For procedural guidance, colleges should consult the user manual on the NMC portal and coordinate with their nodal officers to ensure timely AEBAS registration, upload, and fee payment before the deadline.
