NEET UG 2026 Official PDFs & Notices: NTA bans electronics and study material

NTA has prohibited electronic devices, study material and most personal accessories at NEET centres, warning of confiscation, disqualification and possible FIRs for violations. The NEET UG 2026 Official PDFs & Notices list mobiles, smart watches, Bluetooth devices, earphones and calculators as strictly banned.

NEET UG 2026 Official PDFs & Notices — key public notices and dates

The agency issued a string of advisories in late April: the admit card release notice on 26 April 2026 , a biometric and exam conduct advisory on 29 April 2026 , and a dress code and permissible items notice on 30 April 2026 . NEET UG 2026 is scheduled for 3 May 2026 and these notices form the basis of centre rules.

What is strictly prohibited at exam centres

NTA's Information Bulletin and public notices list banned items: mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands and cameras. Personal stationery like geometry boxes, calculators, rulers, log tables, wallets and caps are not allowed.

Accessories including earrings, nose pins, rings, necklaces, bracelets, gold chains, hair clips and belts are discouraged and may be confiscated. The agency follows a zero-tolerance policy: violations can lead to disqualification , a possible ban from future exams and in some cases an FIR .

Analogue watches are not explicitly permitted; candidates are advised not to carry them to avoid frisking delays. If a phone is brought accidentally, it must be handed to a designated room before entering the exam hall — any phone found inside the hall risks immediate disqualification.

NEET UG 2026 Official PDFs & Notices — permitted items and medical permission

You must carry the printed admit card and a valid government photo ID; entry will be denied without these documents. Permitted items include a transparent water bottle and blue/black ballpoint pens only. Dress guidance recommends light clothing and simple slippers or low heels.

Full sleeves, woollens and articles of faith are allowed but candidates should report early for additional frisking. Medicines are permitted only for medical necessity with a valid doctor’s prescription and prior written permission from NTA. For medical permission contact 011-40759000 or email neetug2026@nta.ac.in well before the exam and inform the centre superintendent on the day.

Biometric verification and conduct rules in the advisory apply to all centres; follow instructions from centre staff to avoid delays.

NEET aspirants should read the Information Bulletin and the public notices issued by NTA carefully. Leaving prohibited items at home and carrying only the mandated documents and simple stationery will reduce risk of disqualification on exam day.
