The board set up roughly 41 evaluation centres and deployed nearly 5,000 teachers for answer-sheet marking. The top 10 merit list for the year includes 88 girls and 29 boys , and girls held the top four positions in the previous merit list referenced for 2025 .

The passing rule remains the same: students must secure at least 33% in each subject to qualify. The previous year’s state topper, Saina Thakur, had scored 696 out of 700, which makes this year’s top score notably higher.

Students can view their individual results and the merit list on the HPBOSE website hpbose.org. The board office has released district-wise summaries and the consolidated merit list; detailed subject-wise marks and school-level lists will be available on the portal.

Immediate student impact: those who see their names on the merit list can plan admissions to higher secondary streams, while those who fall short of the 33% threshold should review re-evaluation or supplementary options once the board publishes the procedures.

Officials from HPBOSE have asked schools and district offices to guide students on downloading scorecards and next steps. For confirmation of marks and procedure details, refer to notices uploaded by HPBOSE on the official website.
