    JK Lakshmipat University has opened doctoral admissions for 2026. JKLU PhD Admissions 2026 applications are being accepted online at jklu.edu.in, with registration closing on July 15, 2026 and the university’s entrance test scheduled for July 18, 2026 .

    How to apply for JKLU PhD Admissions 2026

    Candidates must apply through the JKLU admission portal at jklu.edu.in. The portal carries the application form and instructions; students in the final year of a master’s programme are allowed to apply provisionally.

    Pay close attention to document upload rules and the deadline. Missing documents or late registration may disqualify your application.

    Who is eligible for JKLU PhD Admissions 2026

    To be eligible, applicants need a master’s degree in a relevant discipline with at least 55% aggregate marks. Holders of a four-year bachelor’s degree with 75% or equivalent CGPA can also register.

    JKLU will also accept valid research eligibility scores such as UGC-NET, CSIR-NET and GATE or equivalent tests in place of the university entrance exam, where applicable.

    Selection process and test format

    Admission will be through the JKLU PhD Entrance Test or on the basis of accepted national qualifying scores. The entrance test will focus on research aptitude, subject-specific knowledge, analytical and critical thinking, academic writing and problem-solving skills.

    Shortlisted candidates will undergo research proposal evaluation and a personal interview or faculty interaction as part of the final selection. Prepare a concise research proposal aligned to the institute’s themes and be ready to discuss methodology and research impact.

    Program scope and institutes

    JK Lakshmipat University currently has three institutes covering engineering, design and management. The university offers PhD programmes across these institutes, according to vice chancellor Vijaysekhar Chellaboina.
