JCECEB opened online registration for JCECEB BTech Lateral Entry 2026 on May 19. Apply at engglateralcet.jceceb.org.in by June 12. The OMR offline exam (150 marks) is on June 28, 10:00 AM–12:30 PM.

    JCECEB BTech Lateral Entry 2026 registration opened on May 19, 2026 , the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) said. You can apply online at engglateralcet.jceceb.org.in until June 12, 2026 .

    JCECEB BTech Lateral Entry 2026: Key dates and application details

    The last date to submit the online form is June 12, 2026 . The written test is scheduled for June 28, 2026 , 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM . The exam is OMR-based offline MCQ, total 150 marks and will run for 2 hours 30 minutes .

    Register by clicking New Registration at engglateralcet.jceceb.org.in. After registration your Registration Number will be sent via SMS and email; check your spam folder if you don't see it. Application fee must be paid online and is non-refundable.

    JCECEB BTech Lateral Entry 2026: Who can apply and fees

    Eligibility highlights: a 3-year or 2-year engineering diploma with at least 45% marks ( 40% for reserved categories), or a BSc degree with 45% (or 40% for reserved) and Class 12 Mathematics. B.Voc or 3-year D.Voc in the same or allied sector is also accepted. Female candidates from other states are treated as General for fee purposes.

    Fee structure (online payment only):

    • General / EWS: Rs 900
    • BC-I / BC-II (Jharkhand domicile only): Rs 900
    • SC / ST and Female (Jharkhand domicile only): Rs 450
    • Physically Handicapped (PH): Exempted

    Payment modes accepted include credit card, debit card and net banking.

    JCECEB BTech Lateral Entry 2026: Exam pattern and subjects

    The paper carries 150 marks with 1 mark for each correct answer and 0.25 mark deducted for every wrong answer. The test covers three sections: Engineering Physics ( 50 marks ), Engineering Chemistry ( 50 marks ) and Engineering Mathematics ( 50 marks ). The syllabus level corresponds to diploma first and second semester topics.
