Nagaland B.Ed CET 2026: Online applications Apr 27–May 25; exam on July 11 for 585 B.Ed seats

Nagaland University opened online registration for Nagaland B.Ed CET 2026 from April 27 to May 25. The English-medium test on July 11 will select candidates for 585 seats across eight colleges; admit cards issue in June.

    Nagaland B.Ed CET 2026: registration window and exam date

    Nagaland University opened online applications for Nagaland B.Ed CET 2026 from April 27 to May 25, 2026 . The Common Entrance Test will be held on July 11, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in English only.

    Nagaland B.Ed CET 2026: exam pattern, centres and seats

    The test has 100 MCQs to be answered in two hours . Part A has 60 common questions (Teaching Aptitude, General Awareness & Reasoning, English proficiency) and Part B has 40 pedagogy questions (Mathematics, Science, Social Science, English). Each question carries one mark.

    Exam centres are Kohima, Dimapur and Mokokchung. The CET will select candidates for 585 total B.Ed seats across eight teacher education colleges in the state.

    • Admit cards issued: June 1–7, 2026
    • Entrance exam: July 11, 2026 (11:00 AM–1:00 PM)
    • Result declaration: July 20, 2026
    • Document verification & seat allotment: July 31, 2026
    • Academic session begins: August 10, 2026

    Eligibility, fees and counselling

    Candidates must be Indian citizens with a bachelor’s degree and at least 50% marks (SC/ST/PWD: 45% ). Engineering degree holders with 55% who studied Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are eligible for Mathematics or Science pedagogy. Application fee for OBC and Open categories is Rs.800 and must be deposited into the designated Nagaland University account before submitting the form. To participate in seat allotment, candidates must pay a counselling fee of Rs.500 .

    Merit list, tie-breaker and rank validity

    Merit lists will be prepared pedagogy-wise based on CET marks. In case of a tie, Part B scores will be used; if still tied, the earlier application number gets priority. The rank obtained is valid only for the 2026–2028 academic session .
