FDDI AIST 2026: Registration extended to May 5
Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) has extended the AIST 2026 registration deadline to May 5, 2026 . The All India Selection Test is scheduled as a paper-based exam on May 10, 2026 , with admit cards available from May 1, 2026 .

The application window opened in January 2026 and the original last date was April 30, 2026 . Candidates must apply online at admissions.fddiindia.com and pay INR 600 (General/OBC/EWS) or INR 300 (SC/ST).
AIST 2026 is the entry test for B.Des, BBA, M.Des and MBA programmes offered across FDDI’s 12 campuses . Eligible applicants include 10+2 pass-outs (final-year 10+2 students may apply provisionally) for undergraduate seats and bachelor’s degree holders for postgraduate programmes. There is no age limit for applicants.
FDDI operates under the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India.
FDDI AIST 2026 exam pattern and logistics
The test will be held in 38 cities across India and conducted in English only. The paper contains 150 multiple-choice questions to be attempted in 2 hours 30 minutes . Each correct answer carries one mark and there is no negative marking .
Sections include Analytical Ability, Design Aptitude, General Awareness, Comprehension, and Grammar Usage/Business Communication. Candidates must carry the printed admit card and a valid photo ID to the exam centre and are advised to reach 30 minutes before the reporting time.

After the exam, FDDI will publish results on the official admission portal. Qualified candidates will move to counselling and seat allotment procedures as per the institute’s schedule.
Candidates should note there is no negative marking and no age restriction. For programme-specific eligibility (ITI or vocational qualifications, reservation rules, or national exam exemptions) check the official admission notifications on the portal.
