MNIT Jaipur PG PhD registration 2026: Online applications open

MNIT Jaipur opened online registration for postgraduate and doctoral programmes on April 18, 2026 . This MNIT Jaipur PG PhD registration 2026 window closes on May 7, 2026 at 5:00 PM ; candidates must apply via the official portal mnit.ac.in .

MNIT Jaipur PG PhD registration 2026 — key dates and immediate impact

The institute will publish the shortlist on May 14, 2026 . Shortlisted candidates face written tests on May 25-26, 2026 (PG tests on May 25 , PhD spread over May 25-26 ). Final PhD results are scheduled for June 5, 2026 and PG final results are expected in the first week of August 2026 . These dates affect admit card downloads, travel planning and preparing for interviews.

Who can apply and basic eligibility

For M.Tech, M.Plan and M.Sc, candidates need a relevant bachelor's degree with a minimum of 60% (relaxed to 55% for SC/ST/PwD). PhD applicants must hold a master’s degree. Sponsored candidates must produce an employer NOC and have a minimum of two years’ service.

National scores change the process: valid GATE/UGC-NET/CSIR-NET holders are exempted from the PhD written test but must attend the interview if shortlisted. Candidates without these scores must clear the institute written exam to reach the interview stage.

    Fees, assistantships and selection weightage

Annual fees for self-financed M.Tech and M.Plan programmes range between INR 1,00,000–1,50,000 . M.Sc (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics) fees are around INR 50,000–75,000 per year. PhD candidates on institute assistantships receive INR 37,000/month for years 1–2 and INR 42,000/month for years 3–5; self-financed PhD candidates do not receive assistantship.

Selection for M.Tech and M.Plan is based on the institute written test with 100% weightage . PhD selection includes a written test followed by an interview; the written exam requires minimum 35% in each section and an overall 50% to qualify for interview.

How to apply and what to prepare now

Apply online at mnit.ac.in before May 7, 2026 (5:00 PM) . Upload required documents, pay the application fee and submit the form. Prepare for the institute written test pattern, and if you’re a PhD hopeful, check whether your GATE/NET score grants written-test exemption.

Officials at the institute handle admission schedules and result announcements; watch the official portal for admit-card and interview updates.
